How it works
A menu that answers, then sends the call where it should go
An auto attendant is the automated menu that answers a call and offers the caller a set of keypad choices, for example press 1 for sales, press 2 for support. You record the greeting callers hear, set the options, and decide where each choice sends the call. A choice can go to any step in your call flow; a few common ones:
A keypad choice can also open another menu, so menus can lead into other menus, or hand the call to any other step in a call flow.
Menus can also follow rules you set, such as routing by the caller's number or by a value captured earlier in the call, so a menu does more than a plain list of options when you need it to.
Hours
Menus that follow your hours
Set your open hours, after-hours, and holidays, and choose where calls go in each case. A caller who reaches you mid-morning and one who calls late at night can hear different menus and land in different places, all following the schedule you set rather than any guess about who is free.
Greetings
Greetings and prompts, managed in Sound Manager
The greetings and prompts callers hear are stored in the Sound Manager, the built-in audio library, kept separately for each location. Upload audio from your computer, preview it, organize files into folders, and reuse them across your menus. When you update a greeting there, the menus that use it play the new version.
