Call Recording & Transcription

Record the calls that matter, and read them back later

Turn on call recording for your team, choose what gets recorded, and turn a recorded call into text after it ends. Automatic recording is included on Premium and available on Standard as a paid add-on, something many providers do not offer on their entry plan.

Capture

Two ways to record, so it fits how you work

CallPerfect gives you two ways to capture a call, so recording fits how your team actually works.

On demand. Start and stop recording during a live call, whenever a conversation is worth keeping. Good for the calls you decide matter in the moment.
Automatic by rule. Set recording to happen on its own, following rules you set up in advance, so the calls you always want captured are captured without anyone remembering to press a button.
A warning callers can hear. You can play a recording-warning announcement to callers at the start of a recorded call, set up the way you want it. It is your announcement, and you control when recording happens.

CallPerfect provides a configurable recording-warning announcement. You decide when to record calls and are responsible for following the recording-consent laws that apply to you and the people on those calls.

On demand

You start and stop the recording during the call.

Automatic by rule

Recording happens on its own, by rules you set.

Store & access

Access recorded calls during their retention window

Recorded calls are kept for a set window while your subscription is active, and an authorized user can download them during that window.

Recordings are available to download for a limited time, one recording at a time.
Downloading is for authorized users.

Kept for up to 180 days while your subscription is active.

Transcribe

Turn a recorded call into text you can read

After a call is recorded, an authorized user with transcription access can turn that recording into written text. Transcription runs after the call, when a user asks for it, so you get a readable record of the conversation without listening again.

A user requests a transcript of a recorded call.
Shared account pool. Each user who has transcription adds minutes to your account’s shared pool every month, and the pool resets monthly. On Premium that is every user; on Standard it is each user who holds the transcription add-on. If the pool runs low, you can add more minutes as a top-up.
Speaker separation where audio allows. Transcripts can separate speakers where the audio allows, and can mark parts worth a second look.
On Standard, transcription is an add-on that works together with call recording, so it is always recording plus transcription. On Premium, transcription is included for every user, with a larger pool of shared minutes each month.

Transcripts can contain errors. Please review a transcript before relying on it. It is not a certified or official record.

A transcript stays tied to its recorded call. If the recording is deleted, or reaches the end of its retention window, the transcript goes with it. A transcript is not a separate archive that outlives the audio.

Record → Transcribe → Summarize

Three separate steps, in order

They are three separate steps. Automatic recording does not automatically create a transcript or summary.

1

Record a call

On demand or automatically by rule, with a warning callers can hear.

2

Turn it into text

An authorized user requests a transcript after the call ends.

3

Get a short summary

An AI summary of the transcribed call, so you can catch up fast.
Premium

AI summaries Premium

Catch up in seconds with an AI summary

On Premium, once a recorded call has been transcribed, you can get a short AI summary of it instead of reading the full transcript. It is a quick way to catch up on a conversation you already recorded and transcribed.
